BIOGRAPHY


Shenae Grimes (born October 24, 1989) is a Gemini Award winning Canadian actress. After appearing in several episodes of Degrassi: The Next Generation in season 4, Shenae Grimes became a regular cast member as Darcy in the fifth cycle.

Prior to Degrassi, she appeared in numerous commercial spots and appeared in a Whoopi Goldberg-produced television pilot for Nickelodeon.

Shenae appeared in the short film The Crossroads and was seen in the 2005 MOW Shania as a young Shania Twain. Shenae recently finished filming Picture This with Highschool Musical star Ashley Tisdale and fellow Degrassi star Lauren Collins.

Shenae’s hobbies include singing and dancing. In October 2007, Shenae won the Gemini Award for Best Performance in a Children’s Series. In 2008, Shenae was cast as the lead in the CW Network’s re-vamp of the classic ’90s series Beverly Hills, 90210.

Shenae is half Irish on her father’s side and half Italian on her mother’s side.
